Egyptian Cotton Sheets:
Our sheets are machine wash and dry. Always wash in cold water, never in hot water. We recommend using linen wash. However, any gentle detergent without bleach can be used. Our sheets do not contain formaldehyde (permanent press resin) and ironing is necessary. *See "please note" below.
Sheep Skin Mattress Pads:
The pads are 100% Merino wool and need to be dry cleaned.
Cotton Blankets:
Dry Cleaning will retain the soft velvet texture. Machine wash and dry is possible, but will change the texture of the cotton pile. Washing will result in a sheepskinlike texture.
Down Pillows and Comforters:
If your down products are protected by pillow cases and duvet covers, more thorough cleaning is rarely needed. Periodic shaking and placing in sunlight will restore freshness. Should cleaning be necessary, dry cleaning is recommended but machine washing is possible. The washing machine must be a large commercial size. Pillows and comforters must be washed separately in cold water. Mild detergent may be used - sparingly. Do not use bleach. Tumble dry each item alone. Adding a few clean tennis balls to the drying cycle will help to break up the wet down clusters.
Egyptian Cotton Towels:
Machine wash and dry. Never use fabric softeners or dryer sheets, as they will reduce absorbency. Deep colors should be washed in cold water with a cup of white vinegar for the first wash. This will set the color for future washing.
* Please Note:
Most people are unaware that there are bleaching agents in common, everyday cosmetic products. Lotion, creams and cleansers contain acids (such as alpha-hydroxy) which will stain and /or bleach linens, towels and clothing.
